Dreams do come true. A Nintendo Land is ostensibly coming, as Nintendo attractions are coming to Universal theme parks.
Universal’s blog doesn’t give much information about the partnership beyond its existence. “The immersive experiences will include major attractions at Universal’s theme parks and will feature Nintendo’s most famous characters and games,” wrote Universal Orlando PR representative Tom Schroder.
More details will come in the future, once “the Nintendo and Universal creative teams work to create specific concepts.” It seems that this announcement may have been made once the deal was in place, so don’t expect Nintendo rides at Universal parks for some time.
This development is part of Nintendo’s move into alternate business models, along with the company’s partnership with mobile platform developer DeNA.
