The official release date for Smash Bros on Wii U is set for November 21st, and it’s official: my body is ready. Both the Directors Room on Miiverse and the official webpage have confirmed that the 21st will be the day all of us here in America get to play Smash in beautiful high definition. I myself have suspiciously started to feel a bit sick and I think it’s going to peak right around then so I’m all set. The Wii U version of Smash Bros. was also confirmed to release in Europe on Dec. 5th and in Japan on Dec. 6th.
Nintendo also announced this morning that the 3DS version has already sold a cool 2.8 million copies worldwide since Smash launched earlier last month. Have you already picked up Smash on the 3DS or are you waiting for the Wii U version? I know I definitely didn’t play Smash for 18 and a half hours this weekend and I definitely didn’t enjoy the crud out of it.
Stay tuned for our review of the 3DS version this Friday if you still need some extra incentive to pick up the handheld version of Nintendo’s flagship fighter.
